We get to see more of the Hulk sporting a new hairdo, and he’s in a lot of the trailer. There’s all the amazing action you’d come to expect from the heroes, and even a nice tease about what's to come.

The San Diego Comic-Con premiere of Batman and Harley Quinn, Warner Bros. officially announced a bunch of upcoming DC animated movies for 2018 and beyond.
First is Batman: Gotham by Gaslight, which leaked out earlier this month. That will be followed in the spring of 2018 by Suicide Squad: Hell to Pay, the first Suicide Squad movie set within the DC Universe Original Movies’ shared universe. (2014’s Batman: Assault on Arkham featured the Suicide Squad but was set within the Arkham video game universe.)
Later in 2018 will be Death of Superman, the first part of the two-parter. Warner Bros. promises this will be much more faithful to the source material than 2007’s Superman: Doomsday, which left out a lot of fan favorite moments in order to fit within its 75-minute runtime. Part two, Reign of the Supermen, will be released in early 2019.

Warner Bros. just released a brand new poster for Justice League ahead of their big Comic-Con panel today.
The new poster features Batman surrounded by his teammates Wonder Woman, Aquaman, The Flash, and Cyborg with the tagline “You Can’t Save The World Alone”. The wording includes the heroes logos, and yes, even Superman’s despite him not being on the poster.

Warner Bros. Pictures and DC Entertainment are developing a live-action film pitting Harley Quinn against The Joker.
This project is set within the DCEU and is addition to the Suicide Squad sequel and the in-development Gotham City Sirens which sees Margot Robbie’s Quinn in another feature directed by David Ayer.
The project is described as a spinoff and Geoff Johns is set to produce. No story details or production dates have been set as of yet, but it’s possible we learn more during the Warner Bros. panel at San Diego’s Comic-Con International tomorrow where they kick off the big day in the convention center’s Hall H.
At the very end of the Legion panel at Comic-Con, show-runner Noah Hawley broke the news that he is developing a Doctor Doom film at Fox.
Not much information was given about the movie, considering that Hawley mentioned it at the very tail end of the panel, but filmgoers might best remember the character of Doctor Doom (aka Victor Von Doom) from the 2005 adaptation of Fantastic Four, where he was played by Julian McMahon. The Fox superhero movie also starred Ioan Gruffudd, Jessica Alba, Chris Evans and Michael Chiklis as Marvel’s first family.
Doctor Doom is a scientific genius and the archnemesis of the Fantastic Four. Known for his signature look of an iron mask and a green cloak, he has a multitude of powers including sorcery, mind transferal, superhuman strength and near-indestructibility as well as energy projection and absorption.
This might be the start of a new Fantastic Four franchise but as approached via a supervillain. Fox rebooted the Fantastic Four franchise in 2015 with Josh Trank directing and Miles Teller, Michael B. Jordan, Kate Mara and Jamie Bell starring as the titular heroes and Toby Kebbell as another iteration of Doctor Doom.
A Shazam rumor from earlier this week was just confirmed by The Hollywood Reporter. They say that Shazam is the next DC Comics movie that will go into production, and cameras are expected to start rolling in January or February 2018 for a targeted 2019 release.
The bad news is The Rock, who has been cast as Shazam villain Black Adam, may no longer be co-starring. Instead, The Rock will star in his own Black Adam movie.
David Sandberg, who was in talks earlier this year, is set to direct Shazam. The movie will come from New Line, Warner Bros.’ sister company.

It seems like Gambit is always in theatrical flux. The movie has been in development for quite some time, and but progress on the X-Men standalone has been slow going. 20th Century Fox is currently focusing on projects like New Mutants and Dark Phoenix, but Gambit isn’t far off its mind. After all, Channing Tatum just admitted he is working on the film already.
ComicBook.com's Brandon Davis was able to snag Tatum for a brief question after the actor appeared at San Diego Comic-Con. It was there we asked if the actor was still playing Gambit, and here’s what the actor had to say: “Yeah, of course. We're working on it right now."
For fans, it is reassuring to hear that Gambit is still alive and well. Tatum has long been attached to the role of Remy LeBeau, but other members of the film’s crew have not been so lucky. Earlier this year, reports surfaced director Doug Liman had exited the film. Producer Hutch Parker recently confirmed the project was still moving along as expected, but Liman detailed the problems Gambit will face with fans shortly after he dropped out.
Fox has yet to announced a new director for Gambit, but fans are hoping to hear about a replacement soon. Limas left the project since he was unable to form a “personal connection” with the feature, so here’s to hoping the studio lands a new director who is all about the raging Cajun mutant next time around.
Hasbro has unveiled its San Diego Comic-Con exclusive Star Wars Black Series figures for 2017, and there’s an interesting confirmation included.
While the trailer and behind-the-scenes video seemingly confirmed that Luke would train Rey in the ways of the Jedi, it has now been confirmed with the name of her figure: “Rey (Jedi Training).”

In June, Wonder Woman debuted to critical acclaim and broke multiple box office records. Now, after traveling to Themyscira and back and through the trenches of World War I with Gal Gadot’s Lasso of Truth-wielding heroine, it’s time to meet the men and women responsible for creating her in Professor Marston and the Wonder Women.
Written and directed by Angela Robinson, the 1940s-set film chronicles the lives of Professor William Marston (Luke Evans), who created Wonder Woman under the pseudonym Charles Moulton, and the two women who inspired her: his wife, Elizabeth (Rebecca Hall), and the couple’s romantic partner, Olive Byrne (Bella Heathcote). As the new trailer teases, Wonder Woman, among other things, is an amalgamation of William, Elizabeth, and Olive’s concerns with psychology, feminism, bondage, and pacifism.
While the movie is about Wonder Woman’s creation, it’s mainly concerned with exploring this unconventional relationship and William, Elizabeth, and Olive, who had to keep their relationship a secret at the time. And, the trailer, which opens and closes with Josette Frank (Connie Britton), one of Marston’s detractors, questioning him about the contents of the comic, frames their story as one of them against a world that might not understand them. “The world won’t let us,” says Elizabeth in the trailer, to which Marston replies, “The world can’t stop us.” Because of the need for secrecy, there’s this sense that the Wonder Woman comic became their means of exploring what they had to keep hidden.
“For me, not to get heady about it, the dialectic in the movie was between fantasy and reality, and that they really found freedom in their lives in this notion of fantasy, be it role play [or] the comics,”
says Robinson.
Earlier today we learned that Warner Bros. is planning to announce the release date of Wonder Woman 2 at Comic-Con, and just now they set two release dates for DC Comics movies in 2020.
The first will be released on February 14, 2020… aka Valentine’s Day. The second DC Comics movie in 2020 will be released in the summer on June 5, 2020.
It’s anyone’s guess as to what these movies might be. Perhaps we’ll have a better idea this weekend at the Warner Bros./DC Comics panel at Comic-Con. Let me know which movies you think would be a good fit for these release dates in the comments below.
Avengers: Infinity War just got four new villains – and darkness is coming for our heroes.
At the Disney D23Expo on Saturday, not long after Marvel Studios premiered a secret trailer for the May 2018 film, we got a look at the Black Order – the four “children” of the mad titan Thanos.
Keep in mind, we’ve already met two of his “daughters” — Karen Gillan’s Nebula and Zoe Saldana’s Gamora, two of the beings he kidnapped and raised to fight and kill on his behalf. They have broken free of his control, but these four have not.

Here are the new characters, who truly are fresh off the shelf. They were only introduced to the Marvel Comics world in 2013:
Corvus Glaive – This enforcer, whose job was to shakedown planets for gifts that would enrich Thanos, was immortal as long as his mystical blade remained unbroken. He was married to …
Proxima Midnight – This warrior used her spear – which was forged from a sun trapped in an alternate reality – to launch a shattering attack on Black Panther’s nation of Wakanda.
Ebony Maw – Not the most powerful of the Black Order, but a brilliant and manipulative thinker who wields power of persuasion over most beings. He famously tangled with Doctor Strange in the comics.
Black Dwarf – Don’t let the name fool you. This brawler is physically hulking and has superhuman strength and nearly impenetrable muscle mass. The bigger they come, the harder they fall is a cliché – but it may apply here.
Performers for these creatures haven’t been announced, but the characters will at least partly be performed via motion capture.
We’ll be learning more as the destruction of Earth looms closer.
Fans at the live-action panel at Disney’s D23 convention got a spoonful of a surprise on Saturday with a glimpse at the first footage from Mary Poppins Returns.
The magical sequel, arriving in theaters Christmas 2018, stars Emily Blunt as the titular nanny who returns to Cherry Tree Lane some 20 years after first leaving Jane and Michael Banks (now played by Emily Mortimer and Ben Whishaw). EW debuted the first look at the film back in June — check out all that content here.
Prior to introducing the footage, Sean Bailey showed brand-new photos of the cast — including Lin-Manuel Miranda (as lamplighter Jack), Meryl Streep (as Mary’s eccentric cousin Topsy), and Angela Lansbury (as the Balloon Lady) — and brought out director Rob Marshall and Blunt to chat about the film.

“I think as a kid I found the idea that this magical mysterious person sort of whisking into their lives and making everything right again really comforting as a child,” said Blunt, who also spoke about following in Julie Andrews’ footsteps in the daunting role. “I found that I watched about 15 minutes of the original and then just stopped watching it because I needed to kind of try and pay homage to what Julie did but carve out new space for myself. No one is ever going to out-Julie Julie Andrews. She’s just unbelievable. There will never be anyone else like her. So I just had to do my version of her and I think we were very loyal to the books. I think she is a little more sort of acerbic and odd and vain and weird in the books. And so we went that direction a little more. So it’s my version of her!”
As for the footage from the film (which just finished principal photography a few weeks ago), Marshall showed a brief clip from the film — “a little something,” really, which even Blunt hadn’t seen — set to live music from the score, played by co-composer Marc Shaiman and the Disney orchestra.
The footage revealed the morose state of Cherry Tree Lane in London’s slump era, where the Banks family is distraught following the death of Michael’s wife. His youngest son, Georgie, flies an errant kite that gets caught in the clouds, and with the help of Jack, they pull the kite and reveal…Mary Poppins, holding the kite and descending from the clouds! Mary proceeds to bring her brand of magic—including her winking parrot umbrella and magic carpet bag—into the Banks home.
The rest of the footage showed a slew of musical moments, including an undersea bathtub adventure, a musical number where Mary and Jack hop inside a Royal Doulton bowl and transform for a pastel-painted animated performance (featuring those penguins!), Topsy’s upside-down home, and Jack and his fellow lamplighters’ wild ride through London.
Disney and Marvel are bringing plenty to show at their annual D23 Expo, including some brand new footage from the anticipated Avengers: Infinity War.

'We are arriving,' Mantis said to the Guardians. Teenage Groot in a seat. They describe this place as 'dangerous.' The body of Thor lands on their windshield. His hair is short. Rocket is startled. Mantis wakes him up using her powers. Thor is startled. All of the Guardians look at him, prompting him to ask who they are. The ship zips through the cosmos. Elsewhere, Wanda dodges some white energy, and it breaks a truck. Soemwhere else, Loki stands in ruin, presenting the Tesseract to someone. Peter's Spider-Sense takes off as he rides a bus. Tony prepares for battle. He is in space with the Guardians.
'Fun really isn't something one considers when balancing the universe,' Thanos said. 'This does put a smile on my face.' Gamora looks on, terrified. The Guardians observe ruin in many places across Earth and the cosmos. Thanos warps into this new world. Star-Lord battles him. Strange battles him. Spider-man, in his new suit, battles him. Winter Soldier battles on Earth. Wakanda readies to defend their territory. Cap steps out of the shadows, beared, with longer hair. Hulkbuster fights. Black Panther fights the four legged creature from Infinity. Thor's head is squeezed by Thanos. Thanos pummels Iron Man in a fight. The Guardians are all defeated. Thanos has assembled the Infinity Gauntlet. He throws energy from a hole in space."
As you can see by the first footage, Infinity War is going to be quite epic, and will include just about everyone in the current Marvel Cinematic Universe. That includes Spider-Man: Homecoming actor Tom Holland, who described it as bigger than anyone can fathom.
“It needs no teasing,” Holland said to the Toronto Sun. “That movie literally needs no teasing. It’s going to be the biggest movie of all time. Believe me; no one is ready for that movie. I don’t know anything about it or what it’s about.”
In addition to Spider-Man, Infinity War will also bring in Black Panther, the Guardians of the Galaxy, Doctor Strange, Ant-Man, Thor, Hulk, and many more.
Avengers: Infinity War is described by Marvel Studios as the culmination of everything in the Marvel Cinematic Universe since Iron Man in 2008. The movie is filming now under directors Anthony and Joe Russo, from a screenplay by Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely.
After a week of controversy over who Disney might cast in its planned live-action version of Aladdin, the studio announced it has found its wish-maker.
“Aladdin will be played by a young actor named Mena Massoud,” Walt Disney Studios production president Sean Bailey announced at the D23 Expo on Saturday. “Jasmine will be played by Naomi Scott.”
Massoud, who costars on Amazon’s Jack Ryan TV series, was raised in Canada but was born in Egypt. Scott, who is British and whose mother is from northern India, most recently starred in the Power Rangers reboot and has also appeared in The 33, the Disney Channel original movie Lemonade Mouth, and the Fox series Terra Nova.
As previously announced, “the amazing Genie will be played by the equally amazing Will Smith,” Bailey said.
Sherlock Holmes filmmaker Guy Ritchie is directing the film, which Bailey said draws influences for its city of Agrabah will draw from global influences, including the Middle East, India, and even China. Not only will the 1992 animated movie be a major influence, but the screenplay will go back to the classic Arabic folktales of One Thousand And One Nights.
He also confirmed a few other live-action projects. “Dwayne Johnson is possibly the busiest man in show business right now. Indeed it is true we are working together on a Disney inspired project called Jungle Cruise.”
Walt Disney and Pixar Animation Studios took the stage at the D23 Expo in Anaheim to present their upcoming animated slate. New footage and details were shared from Coco, Toy Story 4, Frozen 2, Ralph Breaks the Internet: Wreck-It Ralph 2, and more. And in an unforgettable moment, voice actors behind our favorite Disney Princesses came together on stage in a celebration fit for a princess.
Following, in the order of release, are the films presented on behalf of both studios.
"Coco" The director and producers came out to explain the film’s premise, which involves an aspiring musician, Miguel (Anthony Gonzalez), who looks up to a famous singer, Ernesto de la Cruz (Benjamin Bratt). At the panel, audiences were shown Bratt's screen test and two extended clips, including one in which Miguel crosses over from the world of the living to the world of the dead. Bratt and other cast members performed a song from the film, "Remember Me." "Coco" and "Olaf's Frozen Adventure" will premiere Nov. 22, 2017.
"Olaf's Frozen Adventure" Kristen Bell, the voice of Anna, introduced fans to the new Frozen holiday featurette, Olaf’s Frozen Adventure. Josh Gad, the voice of Olaf, surprised the crowd with a live performance of the all-new original song “That Time of Year,” written by Elyssa Samsel and Kate Anderson. The song is part of Walt Disney Animation Studios’ new 21-minute featurette, which hits the big-screen in front of Disney•Pixar’s Coco on Nov. 22, 2017. Joining Bell and Gad in the featurette are Idina Menzel as the voice of Elsa, and Jonathan Groff as the voice of Kristoff.
The featurette is directed by the Emmy-winning team Kevin Deters and Stevie Wermers-Skelton (Prep & Landing) and produced by Oscar winner Roy Conli (Big Hero 6).

"Incredibles 2" Writer/director Brad Bird took the stage to show off new expressions characters will make in the film, proving that technology has improved since "The Incredibles" premiered in 2004. This time around, the family -- voiced by Craig T. Nelson, Holly Hunter, Sarah Vowell, Hugo Milner (new Dash), and Sam Jackson -- who were also on-stage, live among new allies and face a new villain. "Incredibles 2" will premiere June 15, 2018.
"Ralph Breaks the Internet: Wreck-It Ralph 2" A trailer for the upcoming film, which is expected to premiere Nov. 21, 2018, revealed that in the sequel, Ralph and Vanellope (voiced by Sarah Silverman, who appeared on stage) have to travel into the internet to find a part for her game, which broke. New characters include Yesss (a trendsetting algorithm voiced by Taraji P. Henson). The clip shown also features Vanellope hanging out with all the Disney princesses -- a moment that caused the audience to erupt into hysterical laughter. The movie skewers and plays with all the princess stereotypes -- essentially, Disney is poking fun at itself.
Untitled Disneytoon Studios Film John Lasseter kicked off the presentation by announcing Disneytoon Studios’ original new animated movie, “Untitled DTS Film.” Directed by Klay Hall and Bobs Gannaway, and produced by Ferrell Barron, the theatrical feature film explores the future of aviation—taking moviegoers to the edge of discovery in the air -- and beyond. “Untitled DTS Film” opens in theaters on April 12, 2019.
"Toy Story 4" Lasseter said that rather than direct himself, he will mentor director Josh Cooley for the fourth installment, which is due out June 21, 2019. Cooley, who started as an intern at Pixar in 2003 working on "Cars," showed a video about what they're working on at the studio.
"Frozen 2" The sequel to the 2013 hit film will be titled "Frozen 2" for now. Lasseter joked that it will not be called "Fro-Yo," or "Thawed." The film, which will be directed by Chris Buck and Jennifer Lee and produced by Peter Del Vecho, will premiere November 27, 2019.
Untitled Dan Scanlon film Dan Scanlon, who directed "Monsters University," will direct an untitled film set in a suburban fantasy world where unicorns are as common as rats. This film is personal for the Scanlon, whose father died when he was one and his brother was three. Scanlon never heard his dad's voice until someone found an old audio tape. In the new movie, two teen brothers try to find a way to spend one day with their late father.
John Lasseter, chief creative officer of Pixar and Walt Disney Animation Studios said:
“I’m so excited about our upcoming movies; they are all hilarious, emotional, beautiful and make you think,” said Lasseter, who serves as executive producer on all animated titles. “It’s a great mix of incredibly creative and surprising new worlds and characters and stories we love returning to. Our filmmakers are putting so much heart into these films – I can’t wait for people to see them.”

In addition to the “hotness,” Tomei brings a fun energy to the younger Aunt May. The actress also revealed to HuffPost that a cut scene would’ve added even more interesting depth to her character and the relationship between her and nephew Peter Parker (Tom Holland).
Tomei first said there were a lot of improvised lines that didn’t make the film, adding, “There were also things in the original, which I signed up for, which weren’t there when we shot it.”
The actress explained that though filming was wonderful, she was disappointed over a cut scene from the original script where her character would’ve also shown some heroism, saving a little girl in trouble.
“There was something going on in the neighborhood, and there was a little girl in distress, and I saved her, and Peter saw me save her, so you kind of saw that he got part of his ethics from her,” she said.
Tomei continued, “Then I come home, and I don’t even tell him that that’s what happened, and, of course, there’s all this stuff that he’s not telling me. So he’s like, ‘How was your day?’ And I’m like, ‘It was fine,’ but really I was shaking inside because of this whole crisis that had happened in the city. I’m kind of fibbing to him, and he’s fibbing to me, and we’re living in this house together, and it was a very interesting setup. I was quite disappointed that wasn’t in there.”
The scene would’ve apparently happened early in the movie and was written out of the initial script, Tomei said.
Even without that Aunt May scene, all that boiling down brought us a “Spider-Man” film that has earned rave reviews, raked in a reported $117 million at the box office in its opening weekend, and is just a friendly, neighborhood good time throughout.
Next year’s Tomb Raider reboot, adapted from the 2013 video game, portrays Croft (Alicia Vikander) as a young woman working an ordinary day job in London. A clue leads her to embark on a search for her presumed-dead archeologist father (Dominic West).
“She has all the fierce, tough, curious, intelligent traits,” Vikander says, “but we’ve stripped away all of her experience. She hasn’t gone on an adventure just yet. She thought he was a stuck up businessperson living in the modern youth culture of suburban London, but then this whole box of information. This is the beginning.”
For the 28-year-old actress, starting from the beginning was a major pull for doing the film. “I was surprised that my mum knew what Tomb Raider was. That’s due to the fact that Angelina Jolie made Lara Croft such an icon. But this is a beautiful way of showing a very loved character from more angles.”
So come March 16, 2018, we’ll get to watch Croft — and Vikander — basically sink or swim. “For one action scene, we used the London venue for Olympic rafting,” she says with a bemused laugh. “They threw me down that river — with my hands tied — about 50 times. I didn’t need to act, just react!”
